LAS CRUCES BULLDAWGS

Points For in 2017: 518 (43.1 ppg)
Record in 2017: 10-2
Why: They return RB Chase Chaloupek who rushed for 25-touchdowns last season. They also return one of the top WRs in New Mexico in Ivan Molina. They Bulldawgs has 5-games out of 12 that they scored over 50-points, four others in the 40-point range. This team could be an early favorite (No. 2 in the NMPreps.com Spring Rankings). Haven't seen their entire schedule yet but four games list and two out of district games - at La Cueva (9/7), at Rio Rancho (9/14) - could be a season they will need to light up the scoreboard.

LOS LUNAS TIGERS

Points For in 2017: 512 (42.6 ppg)
Record in 2017: 8-4, 3-1
Why: The Los Lunas Tigers went off for nearly 43 points per game last season and opened the season with a 60 point game followed by a 54 game. The Tigers had 6-games for over 50 points last season; half of their contests going 6-0 in those games. The Tigers also return one of the top quarterbacks in the state of New Mexico in Nicholas Gaerlan who passed for 1,894-yards (28 touchdown passes) along with rushing for 1,487-yards (23 rushing touchdowns).
