Umpires / State Tournament

I’ve been to every NM baseball state tournament in the last decade (minus Covid year). Admittedly I only watch a handful of games every year (almost always 4A or 5A). But, I like to give credit, when it’s due- and I have to say this year was the BEST umpiring I have seen in memory. Of course I’m sure every (good) umpire will tell you they missed a pitch here or there (ball/strike)- but every one I saw had a good zone (not too big and not too tight)- and very consistent. I didn’t see ANY obvious blunders on the bases either…. Overall I was very very impressed and who ever had a hand in this- I commend you all!! Not an easy job…..
