Scoop: We made a lot of shifts this week. Also, keep in mind because several of you blend it but our rankings are not our playoff projections. One is a what have you done, the other is based on criteria and predictions on how the season will finish.

Volcano Vista is undefeated and with the crushing win over Cleveland last week (35-7) they move as the 1-seed, after we made the mistake as projecting them to finish third in district.

The fun part is that we could have another shift the as we close out the regular season the next two weeks. Keep an eye on Clovis-La Cueva for a DC, Las Cruces can't lose the rivalry game in week 11 to Mayfield. Rio Rancho could make it interesting and move back into the top four with a win over their rival Cleveland. 8-12 could look that way from here on out unless we see an upset to Eldorado from Manzano (this week) or Sandia (next week).

4A FOOTBALL (OCTOBER 24TH)
#1 Portales (Record: 7-1; Bid: Auto; Projected District Finish: 1st)
#2 Bloomfield (Record: 8-0; Bid: Auto; Projected District Finish: 1st)

#4 Kirtland Central (Record: 4-3; Bid: At-Large; Projected District Finish: 2nd)

#10 Silver (Record: 5-3; Bid: At-Large; Projected District Finish: 3rd)
#11 Bernalillo (Record: 6-2; Bid: At-Large: Projected District Finish: 4th)
#12 Moriarty (Record: 2-6; Bid: At-Large; Projected District Finish: 4th)

Projected District Champs: We only have three districts in 4A football, the favorites to win their district at Portales, Bloomfield and Grants.

Movement: Taos moved into the possible hosting a first round game with a win over St. Pius X last week, putting the Tigers into second place.
