Best Case Scenario: 7-3 overall. The Hornets schedule is favorable and well put together for what the program needs to continue building this program. Another thing we know is that the games will go fast as they will run, run, and run the ball. After the opener the Hornets could pull off six straight wins. They added Bernalillo to complete their 10-game schedule this season. St. Pius X and Hope Christian both expected to be improved could create some issues, two games they won last fall. 7-wins would earn them a playoff bid and the goal would be winning a district game in 2023.
Worst Case Scenario: 3-7 overall. Despite the schedule being in favor of the Hornets, the amount of coin flip games could flop them on the wrong side this season. We mentioned that SPX and Hope will be improved this season and could create some challenges. Bernalillo is a good game for the Hornets but the Spartans have been a solid football program against teams in this tier. Three true favorite games -- Del Norte, Manzano, and Pojoaque Valley - helps get them in the win column.
