Some Sandia Prep folks on Twitter are worked up on Twitter over the NMAA's June amendment to the off-season coaching rules, which seems to limit the ability of coaches to work with students that are 8th grade (and younger) in the off-season. The NMAA's stated purpose for the amendment was
that it would "emphasize multi-sport participation at the middle school level and reduce specialization." It seems to be a rule targeted at private schools, because the public schools don't have 8th-graders. Any insight on this?
