Player Rankings NMPreps35: St. Pius X T/DT Aaron Deller

No. 21 Aaron Deller

School: St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)
Year: 2021
Position: T/DT
6-foot-2 | 280

Scoop: Deller is fast and powerful at the point of attack. The 2021 DT has a good motor and does well on both ends of the ball. The ability to get into the backfield quick made his a tough run defender and also some pass rush.

What we were told...

by our superintendent who is on the NMAA Board. Told us the following in our 3pm meeting

A. NMAA and Sally are under extreme pressure.
1. NMAA is sanctioning schools/coaches who dont follow the rules and will probably have some schools lose games/season and worst of all cancel the season for everyone.
2. NMAA is threatening to pull the plug on state championships due to students athletes more focused on playing than doing academics or not following rules

B. Governor said no contact and only 4 to 1 pods. That means no contact until the 1st game if the 1st game even gets approval. Not sure how to play football with no contact practices says there is a huge safety risk.

C. Watch list- Only a matter of time before numerous schools opt out or shut down for two weeks.

D. Scheduling and travel of teams is going to be a nightmare.

E. Fans are TBD/ Parents might not be allowed to transports kids they are waiting to see how that plays out.
Hopefully Parents can transport to open up space in buses, NMAA getting guidance from NMDOH.

F. Only essential staff at games, including bus drivers, 1 media member and 1 video person per team. No cars allowed/ no fans outside stadiums. Local police will need to be present for enforcement.

G District will be re-aligned and schedules are weekly and could be changed at any time... So if Taos is scheduled to play Bloomfield a change could happen on Tues or Wed of game week were Taos could play Santa Fe High for example
