Camps

College football camps for high school ballplayers are being scheduled. There are two reasons to attend a college's football camp. 1.) to improve skills and 2.) for recruitment, to get seen and evaluated by the college. Here's a quick look at some of them in our area. Feel free to add to the list!

*Farmington slides into the top-2 with a perfect district record and ST losing.
*Deming slides into the top 4 with the sweep of ST.
*Belen still maintains but could have been 2 if they didn't lose to Grants

6. St. Pius X Sartans (10-9, 3-1) - DRUP 5-5A
7. Artesia Bulldogs (10-7, 3-0) - DRUP 4-5A
8. Miyamura Patriots (10-6, 3-0) - DRUP 1-5A

How many schools have strict dress codes?

In Artesia they just passed a new dress code. Seems like it has changed ged since I was in school back in the early 80s .

No facial hair allowed. A teacher can pull out a business card and check the stuble on your face. If they put the business card on you face and can see stuble on it you are sent home .

Hair cannot touch your coller.

No sideburns lower than your ear lobe .

No piercing for boys. Only piercing for girls is on the ears except they can have a small flat piercing on the nose.

Of course no shirts with alcohol advertising or anything if sexual nature. Nothing racists either. In it her words no Confederate flag.

Girls can't wear tights or yoga pants unless they have a skirt over them. Skirts have to be mid thigh length or 2" above the knee. Bra straps are not allowed to be visible.

Just wondering if any other schools have rules like this. I actually like it .
