How many schools have strict dress codes?

In Artesia they just passed a new dress code. Seems like it has changed ged since I was in school back in the early 80s .

No facial hair allowed. A teacher can pull out a business card and check the stuble on your face. If they put the business card on you face and can see stuble on it you are sent home .

Hair cannot touch your coller.

No sideburns lower than your ear lobe .

No piercing for boys. Only piercing for girls is on the ears except they can have a small flat piercing on the nose.

Of course no shirts with alcohol advertising or anything if sexual nature. Nothing racists either. In it her words no Confederate flag.

Girls can't wear tights or yoga pants unless they have a skirt over them. Skirts have to be mid thigh length or 2" above the knee. Bra straps are not allowed to be visible.

Just wondering if any other schools have rules like this. I actually like it .

Plenty can still change (see the final word on top-8).

Roadrunner Little League

Roadrunner, tucked away in Albuquerque’s foothills, is enduring its second tragedy in as many weeks. On the heels of the passing of Blake Thies, who played at Roadrunner growing up, comes the shocking news of the death of Jennifer Riordan in the Southwest Airlines accident today. Jennifer’s 10-year-old son Josh is a Roadrunner player, and her husband Mike is a longtime coach there. My heart goes out to those families and the community.

CCL Semi's April 3 & 4

Well, Toronto continues to, what I guess can be summed up as roll. They continue to roll through the CONCACAF Champions League. They did a job versus Club America up in Toronto tonight winning by an impressive 3-1. They can now take that two goal advantage into Estadio Azteca which should be lit up for the return leg.

Lets see if NYRB can do their part and get a solid result vs Chivas.

UNM Men's Soccer on Chopping Block

News is coming out that UNM Athletic Department is considering cutting men's soccer as part of its deficit reduction strategy. I hope the University can save this program, which has been successful academically and on the field. It utilizes local kids and has sent players to the professional ranks. Coach Fishbein is highly respected in the community. I realize that UNM Is looking at team sports due to the number of scholarships and travel and they need to focus on men's sports. But I hope they can figure out other cuts without chopping this program.
