Uniforms

The NFHS announced that for soccer, home teams will now wear dark jerseys while visitors will wear white, reversing the long-standing rule. That is what football does, while basketball teams wear white at home. I think in baseball, teams can wear whatever they want.

What do you prefer? I like the idea of home whites.

Week 16: What to Watch Tuesday

Tonight we will see many "bubbles" pop in the bubble type of night.

Bubble Team: Valencia (8-18) travels to Belen (19-7) for a 5-5A game. The Jaguars are likely on the outside of the bubble as of today. Belen is somewhere between a 3-5 seed. Also, in 5-5A opening round play is the Grants Pirates (10-14) traveling to Albuquerque to play St. Pius X (15-9). The Pirates are on the crowded 5A bubble.

Last Four Teams: Goddard (12-14) at Lovington (12-14). The opening round of the 4-5A tournament puts two teams looking for their seat in the tournament.

Bubble Hopeful: Piedra Vista (12-13) at Cibola (5-19). In the opening round of the 1-6A tournament Piedra Vista can't afford a loss, but they are on the road at Cibola.

Southern Bubble: Gadsden (9-15) at Carlsbad (12-14). Gadsdsen has likely played themselves out of the state tournament at this point, 1-5 in last 6, but that's why we play this week. 3-6A first round game.
