Classified Gadsden Boys & Girls Positions Open

Both the boys and girls positions at Gadsden are officially open.

Love him or hate him, Coach Lawrence turned Gadsden into a strong program over his tenure. Trips to the Final Four, and Elite 8's. He broke the LCPS stronghold on 3-5/6A south. His teams went toe to toe with Las Cruces & Mayfield High at their peak and all the crazy state playoff games with La Cueva. His line of players include Memo Diaz, Diego Montes, and Armando Vasquez. He was and is a polarizing figure but you cant deny the strength of his teams.

Post Your Preseason Rankings - Top 10

What’s your preseason Top 10 look like for your classification?

5A

Mighty 3 on top

Goddard, Academy, and Pius are the top 3 of Class 5A.

Goddard returns a bunch of talent in Stevenson, Villarreal, Harwick, and Pryce. Although Goddard has a new Coach, I Think Coach Alvorado will keep the Goddard machine rolling.

Pius only graduated a few guys and return guys like McGaha, Walker brothers, Lackner and Smith! Also with a new Coach this year.

Academy returns guys like Weisenburn (sp) and Bregman, but Coach Williams does a great job finding guys to fill in and play solid baseball!

Contenders that will shuffle top 10.

Miyamura, Alamogordo, Deming, Santa T, Artesia, Valencia, Belen, Grants, Farmington, Aztec, and Roswell will all be contenders and will shuffle the rankings throughout the season.
