Middle School Getting rid of sports how does it affect our High school programs

Does getting Rid of mid school sports affect our high school programs ? This is a tuff one for me to handle becuase I stil have 3 kids that are going to be in Middle School and my oldest boys did play middle school ball and I think it was great for them getting to compete and create bonds that last a lifetime together I hate this what's your takes and what can we do ?

Alignment and Districts

1. Should schools/AD's be allowed to pick their District? Say like in college athletics a school can basically pick their district they wish to move to?
Can have four districts to choose from. A minimum of 5 teams per district.
The kicker would be adding top districts/"better" with more bids to the state tournament (just idea).
This could sort of add into the conversation of a strength of schedule.

2. A history of success format for districts. Still be regional to a point. But maybe since, for example, Atrisco continues to win 4-6A maybe they can move into 2-6A and have a bottom team - say Santa Fe - move into 4-6A.

3. What about no districts but can only play teams from your classification?

4. What about 3-team districts only in football. 24 teams, 8 Districts - 8 Auto bids, 4 At-Large.

Umpires

I know the umpires don't usually get a whole lot of love on here, but I have to say that the crews that we had throughout the entire tournament were very good. The crew that we had during the round of 16 in particular were probably the best that we had all year.
Our sport certainly needs all the good umpires we could get, so hopefully this starts a trend. We could use more people deciding to go in to that profession, especially in our area where umpire numbers are very low.
