VALLEY VIKINGS
Head Coach: Judge Chavez
2019 Record: 0-10 overall, 0-3 district
2019 Playoffs: Missed
Key Returning Players: Andrew Lopez (QB/2021); Carlos Sanchez (SS/2021); Fabian Aranda (LB/2021)

Review/Preview: This job is a bit difficult to assess since they appear to have waves of talent but a titter-totter of going 7-5 in 2018 to 0-10 in 2019, brings some questions. The 2018 team was senior heavy, the location is not ideal for new talent but for a school fresh off back-to-back basketball titles wonders why the football program can't stay consistent. They only scored 95 points last season (9.5 per game) and gave up 388 total (38.8 per game). They had a near win on the final night of the season to end 2019 and maybe they have some experience now.

Early Win Prediction: 2-4 wins

SANTA TERESA DESERT WARRIORS
Head Coach: Shae Vierra
2019 Record: 7-3 overall, 2-1 district
2019 Playoffs: First Round (Lost to Alamogordo 27-26)
Key Returning Players: Matthew Lopez (QB/2021); Adrian Rodriguez (RB/2022); Sebastian Leyva (LB/2021)

Review-Preview: Simply stated, it's difficult to win at Santa Teresa. However, head coach Shae Vierra has managed to do just that - winning 15-games in two seasons with back-to-back playoffs appearances. A task that seemed impossible, made possible. The Desert Warriors have plenty to work with coming off a 7-win season and near first playoff victory. Running back Adrian Rodriguez returns after rushing for over 1,000-yards as a sophomore. Looking forward the 2020 schedule adds new district member Mayfield, who replaces Silver. Deming and Chaparral remain to round out the four team district. Deming has won the last two years and the addition of Mayfield creates for a stronger district. If they hope to make it three straight trips to the playoffs a top two finish is needed.
