Looks like some coaches have been charged.

These people paid a gentleman money and called it a charitable donation. The coaches were bribed to let a student on their team to get them into a prestigeous school. It looks like Lori Laughlin got her daughter into USC and on the Crew team. I think she has been faking and injury so she didn't have to be in the team. Probably had someone take the Seats for her.

A lot more people charged. Some are high profile CEOs and the celebrities mentioned .

Parents are passionate when it comes to their child. Surprise we don't see any more craziness then what we see.

LOS LUNAS HANDLES TOUGH DEL NORTE SQUAD

FINAL
#1 Los Lunas 77
#12 Del Norte 60

RECAP
It was quite the repeated Cinderella run for Del Norte when not two years ago the Knights were in a similar position vying for a spot in the championship game. The Knights came in with a punchers' chance and they sure let Los Lunas know early they were serious. Los Lunas' offensive rhythm came with relative ease given the size and skill set of their captain, Zanen Zeller. His ability to read and make passes to wide open teammates when facing the double team proved to be his most unstoppable feature. Through a quarter and a half Del Norte was exchanging blows with Los Lunas until a mini-run in the second gave way to the Los Lunas lead they would not give up. Los Lunas handled the Del Norte pressure well and while both teams played tough, Los Lunas made more free throws to help extend their lead. Los Lunas now returns to the championship game, their first since.2014.

WEST MESA FINALLY GETS PAST PIEDRA VISTA IN OVERTIME CLASSIC

FINAL
#3 West Mesa 59
#2 Piedra Vista 57

RECAP
There's that ol' saying about it gets more and more difficult defeating a team the more times you see them in a season. Well for the Lady Panthers of Piedra Vista that became an awful reality within minutes of the first quarter as West Mesa put up a barrage of three-point baskets. Piedra Vista had looks they normally make but they didn't fall early as they fell behind in the game by the largest deficit all season between the two teams. By the time the first half wrapped though, Piedra Vista was within an earshot of West Mesa but could only hope the 3-point shooting would cool off for the Lady Mustangs. When the second half started it was apparent that PV was not going to go quietly. The Lady Panthers cut the West Mesa lead down to two after a 12-6 run than ran into the early fourth. From there though, West Mesa's Maiah Rivas took control and helped put West Mesa up 50-43 and then opted to spread the offense with 4 minutes left to play. From there, it was a three parts ugly and one part clutch as both teams struggled to either score (in PV's case) or execute (West Mesa's). As both teams struggled, PV found itself back in the game and after split pair of free throws, tied it up. West Mesa was unable to get a clean shot off as it went into overtime. In OT, PV and West Mesa exchanged baskets but it wasn't until the final 5 seconds that a foul call allowed West Mesa's best free throw shooter in Esperanza Varoz to hit the go-ahead baskets. Piedra Vista had a good shot to tie but it rattled off the rim as West Mesa would advance to the championship game. They'll face #1 Hobbs in a December rematch that West Mesa won in Hobbs. Championship set for Saturday at 2:00 PM.

HOBBS' FINAL STEAL AND SCORE DEFEATS CARLSBAD

FINAL
#1 Hobbs 42
#4 Carlsbad 41

RECAP
In the fifth game this season Hobbs and Carlsbad put on a classic. Dramatic scoring runs and lead changes gave the morning crowd a great tournament atmosphere in only the second game of the day. Back and forth the teams went with Hobbs leading for most of the game. The seniors Ayanna Smith and Amiah Smith were key to this win, as it was Amiah who led the team in scoring and then Ayanna with the key steal to help give Hobbs the opportunity to score the go-ahead basket. Carlsbad was brilliant in the second half, outscoring Hobbs 22-16 up to that last basket. Senior Carsyn Boswell finished her career with 16 points to lead Carlsbad. Hobbs advances to their second consecutive state championship game and await the winner of #2 Piedra Vista and #3 West Mesa to play at 2PM on Saturday afternoon.
