Dexter came out with an intensity that Sandia Prep matched, but not on the scoreboard. The Sundevils struggled early offensively with clean looks at the hoop that didn't want. Dexter didn't shoot particularly well either but they converted turnover opportunities into baskets. Dexter was lead by Jaime Chavira with 15 points. The fourth quarter was one dominated by Sandia Prep outscoring Dexter 21-11. They shot 78% from the field on 7 of 9 shots while Dexter closed the game on 4 of 18 in the final quarter including 0-for-11 from the arc. Sandia Prep advances to face the winner of #3 Hot Springs and #11 Robertson.
