Daily Dimes - Tuesday, December 12th

Today, we highlight the games to watch on December 12th in New Mexico High School basketball.

Rapid Fire: Tuesday Lineup

Resume Builder: Gallup (4-2) at St. Pius X (5-1). Both teams should finish at the top of their district and both will be playoff teams. This could be the difference between a home game in the playoffs.

Under-the-Radar: Santa Fe (4-4) at Espanola Valley (4-0). Cross classification games don't carry a lot of hype but a northern battle is always one to fill the seats. Santa Fe is playing well, Espanola Valley could be having a title type of season though.

Ticket Sales Game: Piedra Vista (4-2) at Shipock (6-3). Just like the game listed above we have another regional rivalry game that should provide a packed gym.

County Game: Hobbs (4-4) vs Lovington (4-5). We continue with the regional battles as the two school have a mini type of rivalry game. Though it could be one-sided the Lovington Wildcats will always look to upset bigger brother.

Rivalry Is Back: Grants (4-4) at Bernalillo (5-0). We talked about this game in our week 6 storylines. However, most AD's must have had a theme to play December rivalry games this week. This one could be one of the closer contests.

Daily Dimes - Tuesday, December 5th

Top Games:

Los Lunas (5-1) vs Goddard (4-2): The defending 5A champ Goddard Rockets travel north to take on the Los Lunas Tigers who are looking to claim the title of contender to overtake the title in 2018.

Cibola (4-0) at Manzano (2-1): Cibola a favorite in 6A hoops behind Florida State commit Amaya Brown will take on a Manzano team that looks improved from several down years.

West Mesa (3-1) at Volcano Vista (2-2): West Mesa rebounded well after an early loss. Maiah Rivas is one to watch. Volcano Vista has been one of the best programs in 6A basketball. They'll look to build again but need to shake consecutive losses.
