Coach Martinez is retiring from coaching wrestling at Goddard after 26 years. He will continue coaching girls soccer so that he can coach his daughter that will be a sophomore next year. Family is planning on a Christmas vacation for the first time ever. Congrats coach!!!!

So the Athlon Sports College Football Mag is out....

As I have mentioned before National Championships for college teams in New Mexico are precious and few. The New Mexico Junior College Women's Track & Field Team won another today. This year's team won both the Indoor Championship & the Outdoor Championship. Overall, the Hobbs college has an impressive list of National Championships including one in baseball under UNM's Coach Birmingham. I would wonder if NMJC might have more athletic national championships than all of the other New Mexico colleges combined. Someone probably knows that. Again, Congratulations to NMJC!

Silver High Football team had their Night of Champions.

Head Coach Raul Diaz saw 50 some players improve on their personal Max's on Bench Press, Power Cleans and on Squats tonight.

Junior - Rocky Diaz had a 325 Lb squat.
Junior -Benito Sierra had a Bench Press of 295 Lb.
Sophomore -Daniel Castillo had a 275 Bench Press.
Sophomore - Trey Jameson had a 205 Power Clean.
