Why is NM soccer terrible outside of Albuquerque?

Hey, see how I used a provocative and misleading title to draw clicks? You can really learn a thing or two from the other boards on this site.

Seriously, the ABQ Journal had a thoughtful article today (https://www.abqjournal.com/876934/metro-girls-soccer-teams-have-dominated-state.html) about how metro teams have dominated HS soccer in New Mexico, especially on the girls side. Some good insights from coaches both in ABQ and elsewhere around the state.

1st round upset predictions?

Any first round upset predictions anyone wants to go out on the limb on? Here is my crack at it....

1-4A Girls: Robertson over Moriarty. This wouldn't be an upset if it was on a neutral site. Two evenly talented teams.
5A Girls: No upsets on my list. All higher seeds move on.
6A Girls: Las Cruces over Rio Rancho. This was a 1-0 win for RR the last time they played but that was ~2 months ago. LC girls always bring the fight to the state tournament.

1-4A Boys: Maybe St. Michael's over Sandia Prep, but I wouldn't be surprised if all higher seeds win this week.
5A Boys: Los Lunas over Alamogordo. LL finished off the year winning most of their games including a win over Santa Teresa.
6A Boys: Eldorado over Hobbs. I don't believe in Hobbs because of their strength of schedule.

Quick Reactions: Playoff Watch

6A
1. Rio Rancho
2. Cleveland
3. Las Cruces
4. Manzano
How We Got Here: With the Las Cruces win over Onate, the Manzano Monarchs ranked high will slide into the spot after posting a 50-0 win.

5A
1. Goddard
2. Artesia
3. St. Pius X
4. Roswell
How We Got Here: No we didn't spend the hours needed to figure this out but with the Godard win it creates a mixed bag of I don't know.

4A
1. Robertson
2. Portales
3. Cobre
4. Hatch Valley
How We Got Here: Cobre beating Hatch has the same affect as Goddard over Artesia. This makes the selection show that much more appealing. Robertson the lone undefeated team will likely be called the 1-seed. Portales could slide into the 2nd slot with a surging Cobre team finding a bye, they weren't in the converstation last week. Moriarty with the loss could get knock out.

NM Records about to fall?

With Districts coming to an end it looks like there might be a few records added to the books this season.

6A
Josh Foley - At his rate does he crack the top 10 in both rushing yards and TDs?

Santiago Williams - 16 Receiving Tds! thats top 10 where does he finish?

Gavin Hardison - 31 Passing TDs, everyone knows Hobbs will keep on scoring does Gavin break that top 10?

4A
Darion Williams gunning for a spot in the rushing TDs only 3 away from a top 10 spot Only a sophomore WOW!

Cade Hacker - Has 9 INTs, 2 more and he ties in the top 5!

3A
Ezekiel Tapia 1881 yards on the season, maybe a spot at the top 7 for rushing yards by years end? Any chance he gets even close to Ronnie Daniels?

Darren Chavez - As much as i hate tackle stats Chavez is recorded at 110 tackles the 1 one spot is 164, does he get it by seasons end??

Any others that should be highlighted?
(Not Bias against 2A and Down just listing top 2s in each category according to MaxPreps stats, please include if your stats are not on that webpage.)
