Big weekend in eastern NM for small school basketball. Both Melrose and Dora host a tourney. Not sure about the bracket or all the teams but I know Springer, Logan, Tucumcari, and Melrose are some of the teams in the Melrose Tourney. Dora has them, Hagerman, and McCurdy in their tourney this weekend. Should be fun. Interesting to see how injuries come into play as well. Vigil from McCurdy is coming off his football injury and Dora has their best gaurd out for a while, possibly all season, with an injury.

Mesilla Valley Christian boy's won their first game against Fabens from El Paso by a score of 66-63. Mesilla Valley is now 1-0 and Fabens is 3-2 on the season. Mesilla Valley heads to the Kirtland Central tournament next week.
