NO. 1 ROSWELL COYOTES
Record: 11-0
Head Coach: Jeff Lynn
Points For: 542
Points Against: 219
Streak: 16-wins
Home: 5-0
How they got here: The Roswell Coyotes play in arguably the toughest district in the class and some could say state. The defending champs won their district 3-0 and are coming coming off a quarterfinal win over 9-seed Alamogordo, 48-17.
Preview: The Roswell Coyotes have been perfect for 16-straight games and looking to defend their title this post season. Roswell is flooded with talent and look for the likes of Joel Sanchez (2020), Jasia Reese (2020) and company to continue doing what they have done all season - get into the end zone (near 50 points per game).
NO. DEMING WILDCATS
Record: 10-2 overall
Head Coach: Greg Simmons
Points For: 280
Points Against: 206
Streak: 8-wins
Away: 5-1
How they got here: The Deming Wildcats are the sw district champs with a 3-0 record. In the quarterfinals they upset 4-seed Farmington on the road, 16-14. The Wildcats also beat 12-seed Belen in the first round, 42-6.
Preview: The Wildcats have talent, we knew that coming into the season, and they have hit a good stride down the stretch winning 8-straight to get to this point. A younger squad that will return plenty next season but have a great core ATH Jesse Varela (2020) who can do it all for the Cats has played well and is looking to make a statement here in this one.
