I have left a lot out in the feature but the videos are cool. Thanks to the many friends I have met (coaches, former players, and even regular fans like in Roswell, Clovis or Las Cruces). I have so many games I can remember that I have left out. The summer games and scrimmages. The state championships etc. I could go on about everything. We covered just about every corner for many years and have been at everything. We evolve and maybe we will bring some features back. Share your memories too.

Gallup High School has hired, 29-year old, Josh Dunlap as the next head coach of the Bengals. Dunlap previously served as the Bengals assistant coach and JV coach during the 2017-2018 season under former head coach James Voight.

This will be his second head coaching job after building the N.A.C.A (Native American Community Academy) from 2012-2015, leading them to their only state tournament appearance in 2015. He has a 37-48 overall record during his three year stint (the program has gone 10-65 since his departure). Dunlap has also spent time as an assistant at Lovington High School (2016-2017).

Dunlap is a Hobbs native and part of the 2008 State Championship team.

If you could pick one school to become the HC at which would you pick? Looking at NM High School football jobs.

Since we are doing OTs...The New Mexico Junior College Thunderbird lady track team just won their 4th consecutive national championship. 2 indoor and 2 outdoor. There is only one other NM college that I can think of that has 4 total championships for all sports much less four in a row for in just one sport. Congratulations to the T-Birds.

Per the LLS, Valencia is now looking for a new head coach. Coach Estrada only stayed 2 years, going 14-39. This is actually a hot job IMO because they have a solid group of girls coming up that are currently in 7th grade. Candidates could be scarce this late but hopefully they hire someone that can get this program back to where it was Where they had 6 consecutive 20+ win seasons from 10-11 to 15-16, including multiple Pit appearances.
