LEAGUE C
4-Regular Season Games
8 Teams Make State; 4 DC's and 4 At-Large Bids

District 1
Belen
Capital
Rio Grande

District 2
Farmington
Miyamura

District 3
Chaparral
Deming
Santa Teresa

District 4
Alamogordo (at Lovington, vs Deming, vs Chaparral, vs Portales)
Lovington (vs Alamogordo, at Portales, at Deming, vs Santa Teresa)
Portales (at Santa Teresa, vs Lovington, vat Chaparral, at Alamogordo)

STATE

District Champ - District 1 vs At Large (District 3 RUP/Third or District 4 RUP/Third)

District Champ - District 2 vs At Large (District 3 RUP/Third or District 4 RUP/Third)

District Champ - District 3 vs At Large (District 1 RUP/Third or District 2 RUP/Third)

District Champ - District 4 vs At Large (District 1 RUP/Third or District 2 RUP/Third)

Example: If Santa Teresa wins District 3 and Alamogordo finishes District 4 in Third Place however Alamogordo beats both Deming and Chaparral the committee could take Alamogordo to play District 2 Champ and second place finisher from district 4 (say Lovington) will play District 1 Champ but all three from District 4 get in.

Example of Finish

District 1 Champ: Belen (4-0) vs At-Large (District 4 RUP) Lovington (3-1)
District 2 Champ: Piedra Vista (4-0) vs At-Large (District 4 3rd) Alamogordo (2-2)

District 3 Champ: Santa Teresa (3-1) vs At-Large (District 1 RUP) Capital (3-1)
District 4 Champ: Portales (4-0) vs At-Large (District 2 RUP) Farmington (3-1)*In this case Farmington beat out the third place finisher (Rio Grande) from District 1.

NO. 28 DAVID MAPALO

School: Sandia High School

5'8" 165

Mapalo is a new name on the board and one that has potential to be a well known name by the end of the 2021 season. He has speed, athleticism and instincts as a top ranked DB in New Mexico. He had brief action on offense but showed signs of quickness and overall talent that could really show now moving up in the depth chart.
