Note: Please let me know about corrections and updates. I know I missed some. Also, thank you to all of the coaches who had players fill out our Recruits to Watch form. I love getting to talk to more and more coaches. This year, and past month has been the most I've seen early offers and fielding this much emails and calls. Ill continue to send out the list to schools and talk with coaches. Let's get more guys to the next level.

Alternative Season/May-June 2021

Team camp theme but have most schools participate with a state champion at the end of June?

Say each weekend starting May 21st you can play 6 games a weekend (2 Friday, 2 Saturday, 2 Sunday). We could have a point system, win a tournament or runner up weekend and earn a bid for the state tournament but say you need to have at least 3 bids to go to state.

They can be regional events - with minor travel (hopefully we are green by then but this is more wishful thinking having some fun stuff).

Will finish idea. Sort of just spitballing a new idea, for the fun of it.

Volcano Vista HSWR/TE

6-2 WR/FS Nathaniel Stone is regarded as one of the top receivers in the state and has said as much in an interview earlier this summer (click here). The rest of the group features top linemen including Phattboy Loveless of the defending 6A champs. Loveless also sat down with us this summer and shared his unique name. Ryan Cook (La Cueva) recently earned an offer and quickly climbing the charts. The name that should only grow, and we mentioned him early this year, is Simon Gay of Volcano Vista. The 6-6 WR/TE has the framework to have a breakout season. I believe he is the younger brother of former New Mexico Highlands (three years) and current senior for the Lobos football team, Adam Gay.

Red, Yellow, and Green

Under our governor’s new Red/Yellow/Green system, it’s quite possible that it could take many or most counties months to move from Red to Green. Even when your county finally does make it to Green, mass gatherings are only allowed with 20 or fewer people. Is a high school sporting event a “mass gathering?” If so, can anyone pull off an athletic event with 20 or fewer people in the building or the stadium?
