Just read that former Lovington Wildcat great James Compton passed away after a courageous fight against cancer.

Compton was a receiver and punt returner for the 2000 and 2001 Wildcats, but more importantly later in life he was a husband and a father.

He was 34 years old. Prayers to his family and friends.
