This week Farmington High School travels down to Albuquerque to take on the Highland Hornets at Milne stadium. Nothing really exceptional about that, but...Netflix is filming a new series called Daybreak. First off, it is Highland's homecoming week, but to keep script fidelity Highland's home jerseys have "Highland" on them they will be wearing their away whites, and Farmington will be in all black. We will be the Compton Scorpions and Highland will be the Glendale Hornets. They are putting 100 extras in the stands some carrying signs with "Go Compton" or whatever on them. We can't have anything that says "Farmington" on it. So, we will not be flying flags, etc. This is a pretty cool opportunity in trade for a slight distraction. I'm hoping to be discovered and this will springboard my career into the movies. I already have my make-up artist meeting me in Albuquerque, so I'll be ready. I just hope the film makers know we only have one African-American kid on the team, ha, ha. We are not Straight Outa Compton! My biggest hope is they provide craft services. I can dream, right?
