These aren't really the final rankings, because there are two days to go in the season and MaxPreps will update the rankings one more time before the seeds are announced. But they won't change much between now and then.

I think the AA/SPX winner tomorrow will be No. 1 and the loser No. 2. It will be a playoff-like atmosphere for that game, especially because it is senior day for St. Pius. Alamo might sneak in at No. 2, but I think they will be third and Los Alamos fourth. The bottom of the bracket is interesting. Santa Teresa right now hasn't won a district game, but is No. 6 in these rankings. I think they end up near the bottom of the seeds, and if they get in, Deming has to get in above them. That leaves Los Lunas, Del Norte, Valencia, Artesia and Aztec in the running for the other two slots. Los Lunas has to be behind Valencia. I think it will be Valencia and Los Lunas, but who knows.

Hey all, my son has been blessed with the opportunity to represent NM at the Diamond Sports All-American Game in Virginia Beach, VA. He is currently a 6th grader and is a straight A student. I can't begin to tell you his love for this game, although I'm certain you are very familiar with it as you are a member of this site. He will have the opportunity to compete with kids from all over the country as he represents our state with a zia on his helmet. As the trip is right after Christmas, I have started a Go Fund Me page to hopefully offset the some of the costs of traveling there. The flight is the most expensive as it's during the holiday season. I've never done one before so we are doing bake sales and other fundraisers as best we can.
