Key Results
Eldorado’s win over La Cueva keeps the potential, though very unlikely, playoff game alive between the two. La Cueva can seal the deal with a win on Saturday.
Carlsbad and Hobbs both got the win and again sets up a major clash between the two teams. Hobbs wins, it’ll force a playoff game for first place. If Carlsbad wins, Cbad wins district outright, and Hobbs will remain in second place. The game though will be played in the legendary Tasker Arena where anything can happen.
Las Cruces found themselves down double-digits after a hot Lady Knight first quarter. But the Lady Bulldawgs found a way to get the win. A win against the season closer against Mayfield seals Las Cruces third place position while also knocking Mayfield back to fifth if Centennial defeats Onate.
Kirtland Central gets the win at Bloomfield which puts the Lady Broncos in first place and could result in a playoff for first if both teams win from here on out. The odds are in KC’s favor though as Bloomfield will have to head to Gallup tonight for a makeup game. This is the same Gallup team that handed the Lady Bobcats their first loss this past Saturday.
Other Notable Results
- Goddard gets revenge on Lovington with a big win. The Lady Rockets move ahead of Lovington to second place.
- Socorro defeated Hatch Valley to clinch second place in district. Hatch Valley, a favorite heading into district play, can’t be seeded better than Socorro.
- Hope Christian denies Portales chance to move back to second place. Now Portales will have to hope for a Ruidoso upset over Moriarty.

Wednesday Night Hoops
Bloomfield at Gallup
Gallup wins and Kirtland Central has a chance to clinch versus Gallup on Friday. Bloomfield must win versus Gallup to keep their first place playoff hopes alive.
Espanola Valley at Los Alamos
Los Alamos stunned Academy a few weeks back. While it is unlikely that EV will allow for an upset to occur, you just never know this time of year. If Espanola can win, they can clinch with a win on Saturday versus Del Norte.
Pojoaque Valley at West Las Vegas
Both teams are vying for second place in district and this game will ultimately determine who will fall where. Both teams still have one game left after this, Pojo' against Robertson and West against St. Michael's. West needs to avenge their early 5 point loss against Pojo or remain in third place. Pojo needs the win to keep a hold of second place.
Taos at Robertson
Taos has struggled mightily through district play, but a win against Robertson to close out their run could be the momentum changer for the Lady Tigers. It would also help the likes of West and Pojoaque in their push to get that top spot.
