Question

You have 2 teams. Both are 7 and 3. Both are district champs.

One team is 2 and 0 against common opponents and one team is 1 and 1

One team lost to another 7 and 3 team and a 10 and 0 team and a 8 and 2 team. All these teams are district champs or runner up. All will be playoff teams.

Other team lost to 2 6 and 4 teams and an 8 and 2 team. Of these 3 teams they lost to 2 are playoff teams and one isn't going to the playoffs.

Would be seeded higher in ur opinion? Honest question. No team names for our purpose of resume.

Officiating at the Rio Rancho vs Las Cruces game!

I rarely if ever comment on the officiating but I have to say I have never before felt like a group worked to cheat until last night. Not to take anything away from the Las Cruces win but the officiating was so bad even the play by play folks for Las Cruces were embarrassed. If the NMAA doesn't address this crew there is no reason to have an NMAA. I don't have the time to point out each issue but trust me it wasn't just one or two calls it was over a dozen in one game.

Preseason Rankings: No. 49 Robertson Cardinals

The 2015-2016 season has officially started and today we start our countdown of the top 50 programs in New Mexico Big School Division (6A-4A).

More: Preseason Rankings Home | Rankings 72-51 | Preseason Preview Page

The Robertson Cardinals a young team last season finished the season 8-21, 0-6, making the post season falling in the first round to St. Michael's (53-41).

Overview: Not many teams returning this year will be as improved as the Cardinals who welcome back just about everyone with the exception of one player who graduated. The highlight of this team is Sebastian Gonzales (2016) who averaged 19.7 points per game as a junior last season. The Cardinals welcome back around 90% of their scoring including top four leading scorers. Javan Gallegos (2016) who averaged 9.9 ppg, Francisco Arguello (2016) 8.9 ppg, and Arjay Ortiz (2018) with 7.6 ppg. This team could easily be a 20-win team and a top-25 team by seasons end.

Last Season
Record: 8-21, 0-6
Post Season: First Round, lost to St. Mike's
Points per game: 54.2 (1572)
Points against: 56.5 (1641)

Realistic Prediction: As mentioned above the Cardinals could be one of the most improved teams in New Mexico. Right now we have them at 8th in 4A basketball but I honestly feel this could be a Final Four team and play for the 2-4A District title. I think the expectations are high and they should be with the amount of returners and 5 starters returning. This will be one of the best teams in 4A and they have to play up to that standard now.

District Champ: 89%
Playoff Team: Yes
Elite Eight: 90% Yes
Final Four: 77% Yes
Title Game: 58.9% - Over the half way mark and believe this could happen.

Returning Players: The Cardinals return 11 of 12 players from last season's playoff team. They return a majority of the scoring options and will be one of the most experienced teams in 4A.

Sebastian Gonzales (2016/SG/5'8")
Dylan Archibeque (2016/PG/5'6")
Francisco Arguello (2016/PF/6'2")
Javan Gallegos (2016/PF/6'2")
Jermiah Gouin (2017/F/6'0")
Dante Jenkins (2017/F/6'2")
Diego Chavez (2017/G/5'6")
Ishmael Martinez (2018/PG/5'8")
Arjay Ortiz (2018/PG/5'10")
Juan Marcos Dominguez (2018/F/5'10")
Charlie Hillis (2018/G,F/5'10")

By: Kyle Henderson of NMPreps.com

Friday Night, Las Cruces 7-2, 3-0 in district will take on cross town rival Mayfield 6-3, 3-0 in the Battle for Las Cruces. It's the 50th year of this match up, the District Championship for 3-6A is on the line. Game attendance should be right around 20,000. Yes, that many for a high school football game, but it's more than a high school football game it's about city bragging rights, an auto bid to the playoffs, the list goes on and on.
