Prospects Show Up at New Mexico State Camp
During June 19th and 20th, I was in Las Cruces, New Mexico to check out the New Mexico State Football Camp as well as the Hobbs vs. Centennial 7-On-7/Linemen Challenge.
There was plenty of talent in Las Cruces this past weekend at the New Mexico State Camp. Two prospects pulled in D-1 offers from the Aggies on Friday. The Aggies offered Los Lunas Running Back O'Maury Samules and Clovis Tight End Roland Chavez. Samuels is a 5-foot-11, 185 pound running back out of the Class of 2017 (incoming junior) that ran a 4.4 40-time, 35 inch vertical, and a 10-foot-4 inch broad jump. Chavez is a 6-foot-4, 210 pound tight end that now holds offers from New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Eastern New Mexico, and NMMI. Full list of weekend standouts and top performers here
Hobbs/Centennial 7-On-7/Linemen Challenge
The Hobbs Eagles made their way to Las Cruces, New Mexico Friday Night for a 7-on-7, linemen challenge with the Centennial Hawks. NMPreps.com caught up with both Hobbs Eagle Football Coach Charles Gleghorn and Centennial Head Coach Aaron Ocampo to talk about their team's progressing in the summer time.

Alamogordo's Julian Segura Shines at Aggie Camp
Mayfield Quarterback Joeray Valencia had just thrown a 40-yard touchdown pass to Running Back Isaac Vance to put the Trojans up by one score against Alamogordo in a back and fourth 7-on-7 shootout.
Junior Alamogordo Quarterback Kyle Hooper had already thrown three scores in the game and made some big throws in the final drive to put the Tigers in scoring position at the 5-yard line. Hooper then threw a floating fade to 6-foot-2, 190 pound receiver Julian Segura and it seemed as timed stood still…
