Big Argument On Facebook About Carlsbad Sportsmanship!

So apparently this lady from Artesia went to the game in Carlsbad last night and walked away very upset lol. Here's what she posted on Facebook. She also attached a picture of the Carlsbad student section.

THOUGHTS PLEASE!!!

In all my years I've never seen worse sportsmanship as Carlsbad showed the BULLDOGS tonight. They seriously turned their backs as they introduced the Bulldogs. So sad to see that this kind of disrespect is shown. Then to top it off booed the Bulldogs every time we got the ball. Kudos to the AHS Teachers and parents for not allowing our students to act this way. We may not have won on the court, but we lost with CLASS! GO BULLDOGS!

How to add weight

Need to add weight to by boys. They are both tall but only have about 6% body fat and they eat ALL the time!!! As a family we eat a lot of meat (mostly deer and/or elk), carbs and fruits/veggies at every meal as well as they are putting away a gallon of milk a day.

Besides weightlifting, which they do twice a day at school, what type of home diet concoctions does anyone suggest to add weight?

Bright Future

Let me start this by saying I don't keep very close tabs on girls basketball but attend a few games from time to time. Hobbs has a girl that I think could be a future star in this state. Her name is Amaya Lewis and is playing varsity this year, and seeing significant minutes, as a freshman. Not saying she will be as good, but she reminds me a lot of Adrianne Ross. If she continues to develop she could turn a lot of heads over the next couple years. She is the daughter of Pete Lewis, who was a great player for Hobbs and ended up playing at the University of Oklahoma. So she's definitely got the genes.

Big News: Hobbs @ Gadsden Not Down To The Wire

It is just expected that Hobbs/Gadsden games will go down to the last second with tons of drama. Last year...3 overtimes in Santa Fe yet the Eagles win; and in Hobbs the Panthers had the ball at the sideline and time to score for the win but could not get the ball in. Tasker crowd went absolutely insane.

This year...at Santa Fe The Panthers come back in the last minute to tie it up 60 all but Hobbs hangs on. So everyone was expecting another slow-down nail-biter last night at Gadsden. Started out that way...Hobbs trailed 18-10 just seconds into the second quarter (typical because Hobbs trailed by 15 in Santa Fe) but from there on the Eagles outscored Gadsden by 31 points winning 72-49 in what I would call a shocker. It could have been worse as Hobbs only made 6 of 17 free throws.

Frankly, beating Gadsden at home like that is one of the biggest statements Hobbs has made in a few years. Elsewhere around the EnergyPlex...Lovington came back from the embarrassing drubbing at Hobbs to beat Clovis at The Rock 54-49.
Lovington's Lennox led with 20 points. He had a terrible game at Hobbs so it is good to see him get back on track. I am amazed by how badly the Clovis program has collapsed. We always looked forward to those jam-packed games requiring armies of police officers from both towns. A couple of ushers should do the trick this year. hahahaha
