NM had a strong showing with DeShun Brown, West Mesa, taking the championship. Lawrence Otero, Volcano Vista, fell short in the Championship match to take second. Wyatt Robinson and Phillip Gonzales, both from Belen took eighth place to earn All American status. Dyon Santiago, Albuquerque High fell one match short of placing. Nick Chavez, Rio Grande, and Cameron Huizar, Volcano Vosta, had good showing. Ryan Ruybalid, Piedra Vista, Cory Geyer, Los Alamos, and Levi Lucero, Valley also participated. Congrats to all the NM wrestlers.

Although no All-Americans, NM was represented with a number of participants; Anthony Trujillo and Isaiah Sedillos from Las Cruces, Logan Gonzales, Eldorado, Jacob Palgrem, Piedra Vista, Nate Sierra, Volcano Vista, and Brian Geyer, Los Alamos. Kudos to all for making the trip. I'm sure this experience will surely help next for next year's season.

Two more All-Americans as Robertson's Richard Montoya takes third and Miguel Barreras, Rio Rancho takes 8th. ?Piedra Vistas's Sam Sandoval and Anthony Jukes also participated with Jukes coming one match short of placing. ?

A number of our wrestlers are in Virginia Beach representing NM. So far we have two All Americans. In the Freshman Division, Jose Tapia from Capital HS placed 2nd and Dylan Udero Las Cruces placed 5th. Xavier Vigil, St Mikes and Gavin Davy, Eldorado also participated in the fFreshman division.

What will be the most improved teams in 2012-2013?

What school districts schedule time off so that students/staff can go and support their team ?

Why is the AA state championship game(boys)always played at 8:00 a.m. or 8:30? Since 2007 (at least that's as far as I could go back)the 2A championship game has been early on Saturday with the exception of one year. I assumed it was a rotating schedule.
