Tularosa vs. Mesilla Valley

Great defensive effort by both teams. The score was 22-10 at halftime in favor of Mesilla. Tularosa turned up the defensive pressure in the second half and were able to cut the lead to 26-25 midway through the 3rd quarter. Brett Saenz hit a couple of huge baskets in the 4th quarter that gave Tularosa the slim lead. Saenz also closed the game out with 2 clutch free throws that gave the Wildcats a four point lead with 2 seconds to go in the game. Tularosa was led by Chance Brill with 12 points, Brett Saenz with 10 and Jim Coleman added 7.

Wrestling dropped from 2020 Olympics

IOC leaders have dropped wrestling for the 2020 Games in a surprise decision to scrap one of the oldest sports on the Olympic program.
The IOC executive board decided Tuesday to retain modern pentathlon -- the event considered most at risk -- and remove wrestling instead from its list of core sports.
