Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Take care NMPreps Nation. Enjoy time with your family.

I really can't thank you enough for being with us on Preps. I love talking about our beautiful state, our amazing programs and most of all our student-athletes. Thank you for just enjoying a place that brings us together to talk sports because this is a state that truly loves it. Very underrated for the support we have and why NMPreps continues to be near the top!

It's been a great 8-years being with you! God Bless!

Note - I will be enjoying my day with my 5-year old son as well (of the 365 days a year it's one of the very, very few I try to stay away from our great site minus an hour or so). Awards will roll out again on Tuesday along with other weekly features.

Blog (12/23): Lobos Win, New Mexico State Covers
J Grine

Lobos 87, Prairie View A&M 78
The game sure wasn't pretty and the first time that I have gone to a Lobo game at the PIT since (maybe college, surely before my son was born - he's five). I was the die hard Lobo fan that knew everything about everything. Where they went to high school, every stat, and I would watch the game or sit in my car listening to Mark Roberts call the game. A lot has changed at the PIT for a Lobo game. Good news is Saggios is still amazing!
Game notes: Dane was hot again from the outside finished with 14 points (3 of 4 from the 3-pointer), I like Antino Jackson. The Lobos struggle on defensive rebounds and mostly why PVAM kept this thing close the entire night.
The Good: Next season. The roster could look completely different again and the anticipation of the UCONN and Ohio State transfer among others.
The Bad: This team doesn't have a go-to, take over the game type of player.
Wishful Fan: I think this team might win a game in Las Vegas this season.
Silver Lining: I like Paul Weir. This season is going as expected and I still like watching this team more than the previous season.
Box Score: Joe Furstinger, 20 points and 10 rebounds. Antino Jackson - 17 points. Dane Kuiper - 14 points.

Aggies 69, Davidson 68
Well, after the Lobos game I rushed home to watch the Aggies in the Diamond Head Classic (Hawaii). Also, I had some money on the line with an Aggies (+0.5) on the line. So as you see the final score - thank you Jemerrio Jones! I surely thought the Aggies where going to roll, they looked like it mid-point before a Davidson run. End point, the Aggies cover (win the game) and my losing streak ends.
